
Tim Murphy, president of T & T Brokerage Co. Inc., is a graduate of Sangamon State University, where he received a degree in business management. He has been a commodity broker since 1978, at which time he left the cash livestock business. In 1984, Tim became a licensed security broker to increase the scope of his services to a growing client base.
As a former livestock order buyer, Tim has developed personal contacts with meat packers and order buyers. He has come to understand differing market forces, such as packer's demand, buyer's reactions and wholesaler's supply and demand, along with historical seasonal patterns. His broad agri-business background and general business accumen give him a unique perspective on both the commodities and securities markets.
In 1980, Tim founded the Business of T & T Brokerage Co., Inc., and before moving to Columbia, he managed an office at the St. Louis Stockyards for 12 years. He has been trading commodity futures for over 20 years and is currently president kand co-founder of T & T Brokerage Co., Inc.
John Murphy is a graduate of Illinois State University, where he received an agri-business degree with an emphasis in commodities. He also has extensive knowledge of state -of- the- art computerized programs that assist him in analyzing futures trading. Additionally, John can also draw on his actual farm work experience.
